Contact lenses are a great option for patients who don’t want to wear glasses or undergo laser surgery – or who simply want the option to be glasses-free some of the time. Contact lenses give added confidence to teenagers and are perfect for sportspeople. There is an ever increasing range of contact lenses to suit patients from 8 to 80. These include:

Daily disposable contact lenses – as the name suggests, they are a single use contact lens with enhanced comfort and vision clarity for all ages

Multifocal contact lenses – great for the over 40’s who enjoy a break from wearing multifocal glasses

Astigmatic correcting contact lenses – also known as toric lenses, their new lens technology means they are able to correct high levels of astigmatism

Ortho K lenses – these custom-fitted, rigid contact lenses are worn overnight to reshape the cornea for myopia sufferers.

Contact lenses are suitable for many prescriptions. If you haven’t tried them before, but you’d like to give them a try, please talk to us about a contact lens trial. We will provide you with trial contact lenses free of charge and we will teach you to insert, remove and care for your contact lenses. Your eye test will be covered by Medicare and there is an additional charge for contact lens fitting. At Concord Eyecare, we’ll make sure that you feel confident in using and wearing your contact lenses.

We stock all contact lenses including leading brands CooperVision, Bausch & Lomb, Alcon and Johnson & Johnson.
